Who has some better resources or perhaps some advice to do well in English writing? I have always been penalised and got lower grade because of my writing skills as it was not very precise and consist. Therefore, I have been practicing from here and there to improve it as quick as I can so that end of my semester I can higher my grade.

You should start by reading through what you've written. Like above, you said your writing wasn't very 'consist'. Did you mean consistent? Concise?

No one has perfect English and with modern English there's a lot of free space to write freely and ignore certain rules for flair and feel. But misplaced words just come across as sloppy.

I'd start by proof reading, if you're not entirely sure what words mean you should look it up. Same applies for Grammar and spelling, it take seconds to look up rules and how things should look. Go from there.

That is actually my fault for making mistake as I thought it will auto correct my word.
However, I do believe I that proof reading helps big time to detacte errors. But unfortunately, I can't for sure sometime whether I am right or worng on certain errors.

    Thanks for your advice.

I see what you're saying. Perhaps it'd help if you asked others to audit your writing and tell you where you went wrong?

When I left school my English was pretty bad... I used to spend a lot of time on forums like this one and after getting your writing corrected enough times, you start to learn pretty quick!

You wouldn't believe if I say but right now I'm in the same boat as you were before. It's hard for me find someone to double check with my works as I know everyone is pretty busy doing their work. So I therefore leave it without checking by third person.

When it comes self study, I intend to do the similar things as in reading different forum and comment that made by others and I reckon that's helping me as well.
