Hello, I'm hoping for some advice about where to live after graduation! I have a job in Leeds and my boyfriend has a job lined up in Sheffield, both offices relatively near the train stations and we both have cars. We are wanting to live together, but there isn't anywhere halfway that appeals to us. Does anyone have any advice on which way round to do it? Both of us are happy to commute, it's more which city would be more affordable/ has the best transport. Both jobs are 9-5 approx. I like the look of Hunter's Bar in Sheffield but don't really know what the commute to Leeds would be like.

Any suggestions for areas to look at would be great. We have max £800 p/m for rent.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I live in Leeds (Garforth) and commute to Sheffield everyday. Ordinarily the train is easiest (45 mins direct from Leeds), but access to the M1 is valuable if you're going to commuting between the two.

I'd consider somewhere like Darton or Penistone. Pretty much equidistant between the two - and you'll find a nice enough property for £800pcm
