I'm getting my uni payed for by my company starting in September, but I'm a bit concerned as I'm on overseas fees and don't want them to be paying all that much.
My colleagues said it wouldn't matter as it gets written off anyway so they're not paying all that much at the end of the day. But I'd like to have an idea of how it works before I approach my boss with the fee issue.

If your company is paying the fees then they're paying the fees. Them being written off wouldn't make any sense. The uni charges £x, the company pays £x, and everyone is happy.
