I've been on facebook since 2008, and I'm constantly checking it, always wary about how I appear to others on the site. I feel the most logical thing to do would be to delete my favcebook account for good. The only issue I feel I would have is keeping in contact with certain friends and knowing about events and stuff....what do you guys think?

I want to delete my account, but I just keep it there for friends and family. I'm happy to email etc, but if it's more convenient for them, then I'll keep it up. Depends on your friends.

If you need a break from facebook, you can deactivate your account temporarily, seems like a much less extreme option lol

I've deleted facebook and now I using just whatsapp. I know it's not the same but at least I don't spend so much time on fb doing nothing.
To be honest I haven't stayed in contact with everyone I was talking on fb and sometimes I do feel leftout but still talk with the people that are truly important to my life(and not every stanger).

I don't regret it at all. :yy:

    There's...
    Whatsapp, imessaging, snapchat, Skype, email.
All are more intimate rather than just an advert of your life like Facebook, which in reality usually bares barely any resemblance to the actual person's life. It also allows other people you don't actually like to peer into your life... Which would just make me angry it's none of their business they don't give two shits about you. Anyone that does you should message and add them on whatsapp, snapchat etc to stay in contact with them.

    You can only deactivate them.

Surely your friends are on snapchat, or whatsapp?
