Finished my exams!! .. But I Feel Awfull.

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I finished my final AS-level examination. 3hrs of Physics was preety tough but I think I did well. Anyway, I woke up today and felt awfull. My whole body was aching and I had an awfull headache. This didn't happen to me in exam season, but it feels like my body has gone into an anti-climax. I've lost my sense of taste and just feel grumpy and down.

What the hell is wrong with me?

For about three years whenever I came home from (bording) school at the end of term I would be unwell. I think it's just because you finally CAN be ill without it messing up everything. It's weird.

yeah, I think it's been shown that more people get ill at the weekend or during the holidays

Your probably bored... Go get mashed!

I wouldn't worry too much, it probably is just you suddenly relaxing after exams. Chill out for a few days and you'll probably be fine. Obviously if you suddenly get worse or are just concerned, see your doctor

Yeah, its a weird time post exams-you've been so busy working hard and revising (maybe...:p:), and the exams have been there looming and then suddenly its over. Its a bit like...now what? Make some plans, get out and find some things to do. Most of all-have fun!! This time is the best cos your free time is your own for the first time ever more or less...

yea its ment to be fun isnt it? but after the weekend i've had i actually wish i was in skl again

Yeah, it happens to me at the end of exam periods too, I think it must be because you're a bit run down - after all, you've had a pretty stressful time! Give it a couple of days, if you're not better, go to the GP.

Ah I know that feeling too! I remember when I finished my A-Levels, I was really happy for like two hours. The next morning I woke up and actually revised for a whole hour until I remembered that I didn't have to.

 I would never make that mistake. After my last A Level exam I went straight home, tore up my revision notes and put all my books away! I was so happy to be shot of my exams.

You're probably exhausted.

After revising hard for the past month or whatever, spending time worrying about exams, comfort eating and having too much caffine, I'd think your body (and more specifically your brain) wants a break for a little bit.

Congratulations on finishing your exams though!

Ever since I finished exams, I've been feeling absolutely drained. Mentally. Physically. Worry/stress out about the stupidest things, can't sleep at night, moody, down, aggressive, etcetc. Whereas I was totally fine during my actual exams.
Delayed reaction. Bleh.

With your AS/A levels, remember you put a LOT of effort into them, stressing out, late nights, panic stations on the day. This builds up to a lot of stress on your body and mind, what you're feeling is your body trying to sort itself out and getting over it all. Its natural. I was ill for a week after my A levels, throwing up, getting depressed, feeling i was the only one suffering. it soon goes  Be glad its all over now  and enjoy summer
