my breathing is not automatic!?

does anyone have this? so sometimes when i look at something and pay a lot of attention on it, i realise i stop breathing and have to start breathing manually??
am i dying

When I get conscious of it, I realise that I wasn't breathing for a while!

But do you revert to breathing normally afterwards without realising it?
