In a reaction, 0.486g of magnesium was added to oxygen to produce magnesium oxide:
2Mg +O2 --> 2MgO
Calculate the no of moles of magnesium that reacted.
Ok so i know how to do this (mass/mm)... But because there is a '2' infront of Mg does this mean that I multiply the number of moles (0.02) by 2? Or do I 'ignore' the 2?

Ignore the 2. Would just be 0.468 divided by 24.3
