Hello!
Does anyone have any predictions for the A2 English papers on Monday 16 May 2016 and Friday 20 May 2016 or resources/sample essays for any of the topics/novels?

The literature I am studying is R*pe of the Lock, King Lear/Burial at Thebes(Tragedy) and the Outsider: Catcher in the Rye/Scarlet Letter and Butcher Boy.

Many thanks,
L

Hiya! I don't know if this is what you're looking for but TSR has a bunch of revision resources that you can have a look at - the ones for King Lear are here and you can use that page to search for other texts and topics. Good luck :parrot:

Its quite a complex question to be honest. But you could talk about each outsiders status in society, the way they have inspired a 21st century readers, perception of modern and contemporary society for each individual, Meursault decision to live his life the way he wants to how holden is pressured into becoming an outsider, how they rebel from each societies norms and accepted values.

I study Jane eyre and the color purple, school for scandal and volpone, the illiusionist so them essays would be of no use to you! and my rape of the lock essays are a disaster!

a week before the exam and im getting 38/60!!!! WTF

How are you feeling for it? i'm literally so scared. I'm just going to learn themes and about 10 quotes for each and hope for the best!!!

The Butcher Boy should be okay, but haven't a clue what's going to come up for catcher/outsider :/ think relevance to a modern audience came up last year?
