Social Life is failing :/

For the span of the past 6-7 months my social life has all but dried up, i havent gone out, my bunch of friends have all moved on (they went/are going work/college and im the only one going to 6th form), i rarely leave the house for anything other then biking or football, i seemingly never get asked to go out to any clubs/pubs etc, i have no gf, her and i split last year as she was moving further south..

Is it about time i just started going out by myself to meet new peeps or should i just try harder to fit in with my old m8s?

cos life indoors sucks ;/ :s-smilie:

Just start going out, anywhere... Instead of staying at home and having lunch, go to a cafe... Youll meet new people... And it jus sorta starts there!

But you gotta actually do something, these people cant find you in your house lol

Lol go you... I mean seriously though... Socialising is EAASSSSYYY!! Just talk to someone, then their friend, then their friend... etc etc... Its easy once you know how, your confidence builds and voila, ur a social butterfly... Like me! *flutter flutter* lol

You said you go biking & play football - maybe start going to the gym, maybe with people you only sometimes talk to? Might make some friends then.

Socialising for most guys is anything but easy. But you are completely right in saying that your confidence builds the more you do it.

Go talk to random people anywhere. Join a social club. What about people at your 6th form? There are dozens of people you could speak to there...

You've surerly got to hang around with people at 6th form? Ask them to come to the pub/bars/clubs one night. IMO if your friendship hasn't naturally continued with your old friends now then I would pretty much write it off, you never know they might contact in the future.

Congratulations mate. Seriously mature!
The quality of your life is a lot better now, is it not!? So even if this is hard it is definitely worth persisting with because you cant imagine how much better your social life will be...having really good social skills opens an infinte amount of doors...and those who have to learn these skills or werent born with them appreciate and use them far more (efficiently!)..

Didn't realise someone had used the Big Mac joke.

You are sooo right! I mean even when I was going to the Uni interviews, the interviewers would notice it, and would say that its is a trait that they would like to see people at their uni have. It helps with everything! Making complaints, getting your way... I mean EVERYTHING! Girls, (running out of things here) erm well you get the drift... But you gotta start somewhere...! It wont happen over night! Unless you go out clubbing all night or something lol
