I have my AS biology exam in around a week and a half (new AQA spec) and I'm so scared that I'm going to fail it . I have put so much effort in this year with revision and I know the content really well. However, I cannot do biology exam questions. I am trying to do past papers but the questions are so difficult as like 50% of the paper is application questions or the questions are very vague in what they are asking you. I'm really worried that I am going to fail and that all my hard work is going to count for nothing . Anyone having the same problem/ know how to fix this?

My biggest tip for exam technique is to just read the question carefully and be conscious of the command word. Understanding the question and what they want from you is key and sometimes it can take a few reads to really grasp what they are asking. Also, read and use the information they provide you with before the questions as it is there to help you answer the question. Looking at the number of marks allocated is also a good way of determining how many points to make and how detailed an answer is meant to be.
