    HI all

I have no friends and want watch a couple of films in the cinema.

Is it normal for people to go alone to the cinema?

I don't want to attract any attention to me and don't want people judging me that I am a loner.

Why would it be weird to watch films on your own? You get to enjoy the film without your mates or family talking or distracting you from the films. Besides loads of people go to the cinema on their own, and even if they think you're a loner what's it to them and why should you care what those other people think? You're busy enjoying the film while they're wasting their money looking and judging you instead of the film.

I normally go alone, don't worry about it. The only place weird to go alone to is a nightclub because that's for socializing.

This was asked just this week and yes its absolutely fine. Once you have done it then it will give you confidence and you will think why didnt you do it before. You get to see the film you want, you dont have to compromise and you dont have people annoying you.

Yea its fine! I go to the cinema on my own sometimes, i'm not going to miss a film I want to see just because no one else is free to come and see it with me. Besides, you don't talk to anyone during the film anyway.

I went to the cinema on my own for the first time ever only recently - saw 10 Cloverfield Lane which probably wasn't the best choice as it was pretty scary but I still enjoyed going on my own!

Who cares what other people think? You're there to watch a film, not socialise with people. I watch a film on my own every time I go to the cinema. I just can't be bothered with people who back out at the last minute, choose the most expensive and busy times to go, or just flat-out refuse to join me because they don't like the type of films I want to see. When you go on your own, you'll enjoy the film more without other people talking, making noise with food etc etc.

I always prefer to go alone. I can enjoy the movie without the constant distractions.

I saw Captain America on opening night at 12 by myself, was totally worth it. Nice to have time to yourself.

Yeah. Really. A Cinema screening isn't a place to socialise and have a chat anyway, and it's completely fine to go alone. I do sometimes. There's a cool new film showing that people paid money to see so they won't be concentrating on your lack of company.
