im 19 and have a number of tattoos up my left leg which i wish to continue to a full sleeve.
my question is; will my tattoos affect my future career prospects? im starting university in september and dont want to feel as though i am wasting my time when i could leave and be turned down from numerous jobs because of my body art? they are easily covered with trousers but on a hot day, thats the last thing i want to be wearing.
when i got them done i never saw it as an issue as the vast majority of people i know my age all have tattoos and jobs. i feel like societies views should be changing but are they?

Up to you if you want to get more.

It depends entirely on the type of job you apply for. Many companies have an image of their employees that they wish to maintain, and tattoos may well be against that.

Get them at your own peril.

as you said you can wear trousers/tights to keep them covered it

as far as having the tattoos visible it will really depend where you work and how conservative they want you to be, this probably varies a bit by sector but even within sectors some employers won't mind and others will be put off
