I also don't understand the term 'leaky' in terms of ion movement across an axon membrane?
Thanks for any help 😊
How does the diameter of an axon affect the speed of conductance? watch

If theres a larger diameter, theres less K+ ion leakage due to larger surface area. Therefore the membrane potential is more positive (increasing towards +40 mV). The less ion leakage the faster the impulse due to quicker depolarisation of the membrane. Hope this helps
