HELP

the reaction of removing SO2 using calcium carbonae is
CaCO3+2H20+SO2-------CaSO3+2H20+CO2

CO2 is produced........so what i dont get is why are you going to use calcium carbonate to remove one pollutant gas just to produce another?
Carbon dioxide is slightly harmful, but not as harmful as Sulphur dioxide. Trees can use this Carbon dioxide for Photosynthesis. :smile:
