There's a woman who goes to a running club I go to she is 48, has ran all her life and her world seems to revolve around running times and training. She lifts weights too and likes to do handstands she said she's never done gymnastics, I think she just prides herself on being fit and strong. She's no kids and isn't married I'm not sure if she has been in the past. She works as a physio and I kind of wish I had her motivation for running. The thing is I heard someone call her 'sad' and they said 'it's a shame I don't think she has a life'. It was one of the kids parents (who watches their kid train) that said it. Another person also said 'what an odd woman' once when she was walking down the track on her hands. She's not really a friend on mine though I do see her around a lot. It made me wonder why the woman called her and if she really is unhappy and just using running as a front/distraction. I don't know, I don't want to talk to people who know her as I don't want to start gossip off or anything so thought I'd just ask on here for opinions. Is it unusual to be like her so much so that people will comment or is the other woman just being *****y?

If you don't know her personally, I don't really understand how people would class her as 'sad' for having a passion for something.
    Just leave her be, gosh.

I don't think she's odd, the other woman does not know her enough to comment. I wouldn't judge her before you actually get to know her, if you do that is.

The *****y mums are probably lazy, fat, lethargic women jealous of her physique so they're commenting as such.

As if you made a thread about this. :erm:
Can you not decide for yourself?
Obviously the others are judgemental (who cares lol), and you seem a bit nosy.
