I’m taking a gap year next year, need a few 1-3 month things to do (that have a bit of purpose, not just travelling)? Like au-pair, camp volunteer, work experience… That kind of stuff. But I need ideas for other things and especially tried & tested companies that organise them? Thanks!

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.

You can also find the Exam Thread list for A-levels here and GCSE here. :dumbells:

I did ICS which was amazing - you get to travel and really experience the culture, since you're living with a host family for 3 months, and it has a purpose for sure. there are several different charities you can volunteer with who have different aims and ways of working so you can pick whatever suits you best. I went to nicaragua with Raleigh International, but there are tons of options

I've also been recommended work away, which is a much more casual way of travelling and staying with a host family but I think you'd have to look into things really really carefully as some of the hosts have terrible reviews - https://www.workaway.info/
