If you're offer was BBC you'll get in fine, I know a few people who got onto a languages course with BCC and below, don't worry  you should be OK I think.

I know someone who got in to do a Chemistry degree with EEE.

The Law department makes a standard offer of ABB.

They had so many clearing places last year I heard that Law school were making offers to people with grades as low as DDD.
I'm Glad to hear that because i'd like to go to Hull because i've heard that its a good university and it was the only one i could find that would let me do French from Scratch.

They were offering Law places thru clearing this year and Hull is ace for law apparently.

You should be fine, I was  xx

Hull is my firm choice as well for psychology and the offer is BBC. No way im gonna make it though. I should get an A/B in pychology, C in chemistry and a D in biology.

Do you think BCD will be good enough?

Really depends on levels of intake, they'll need to fill places and so if there are some places free you'll get in. I think you'd have a very good chance with those grades assuming your B in Psychology, and I'd be very surprised if you got an A and didn't get in.
It may be worth noting that Hull tend to be quite lenient with students who are from Hull.

I really hope your right, Hull is my one and only choice really, it just impressed me the most and its location is ideal for me.

BBC and BCD do sound miles apart but there is only 40 points in it.
If only i could get a C in biology, but i just dont think it will happen, although ill give it my best shot. BCC would get me in for sure imo.

Im hoping though that they see the B is in psychology and let me in on that basis (as thats the subject im taking), and getting an A still isnt out of the question. So long as i get an A in my last exam next week ill end up with an A. But im being cautious atm!

i'm a bit worried too, I've already done A levels and got a B in psychology, C in Art and ive just redone my English lit, they want me to get a B in it but because i got a D first time round i need almost an A this year just to scrape a B, would BCC be ok? , for psychology with criminology, i hope so, im so set on hull. x

ive just got a C in psychology (i counted the marks up at the end of the exam). hull offered me a place if i get BBC... its lookin very doubtful that ill get a B in philosophy.

do you think theyd let me in with BCC to study philosophy and italian?

oh... and im not from hull

yes. nearly all the courses enter clearing. the uni gets money per student. If its your firm thats an indication you realkly want to study there, so theyd rather take you than someone in clearing.

ok, thanks =)
Here's an example of their leniency... The course i wanted to do required BBC (280 points), i ended up with only two A-levels (i dropped the third) and did poor in the two that i did which left me with almost half the points required yet they still let me in.
