Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not your exam percentages matter in future life (e.g. uni application)? Or is it just the grade that you got in the subject that counts?

    Thanks in advance !

At A Level, it depends on what course or university you want to apply for. Cambridge is especially fussy with your percentages so hopeful Oxbridge candidates who just scraped excellent grades might want to lean towards Oxford. Popular courses like Medicine or competitive STEM courses might ask for your percentages when deciding on giving you an offer, but its uncommon.

If you are asking about GCSE's, few unis care about the grades let alone the percentages.

I highly doubt the percentages matter. I'm glad they're changing the grading system to 9-1 though, as for a GCSE Biology paper for example, someone who gets 57/60, gets more credit than someone who gets 45/60 (A*) on a particular unit.
