alcohol + piriton hay fever pill?

took piriton an hour or so ago (hay fever is really bad today) and i'm going to a party later...warning sign says "avoid alcohol". just wondering exactly what it would do...just increase drowsiness, or would in a couple of hours it make no difference anyway?

is piriton the one you can take more than one of a day? cause if it is that means in a few hours it will have less of an effect, and alcohol and hayfever tablets can make you very drowsy so if they already make you drowsy i'd be careful

its an antihistamine right? so increase drowsiness and make you more dizzy. could possibly cause fainting but theres not alot of evidence to support this.

thanks, figured as much. I'm not even planning to drink a lot, need to get some FP1 done tomorrow, its just this is the first party in ages i'm going to and i really want to go. all is well.

I wouldn't worry, I took Piriton when I was on holiday (I had an eye infection, I took it to stop the symptoms, rather than for hayfever) and I was drinking - um - slightly to excess (blame my parents!) and didn't suffer anything nasty. Mind you, don't come blaming us if something does go horribly wrong!

Should be fine unless you're planning on being utterly trashed...!
