Tips on cheap accommodation near University of Roehampton

Hello everyone. I'm a PhD student going to live in London for a year on a scholar visit at University of Roehampton in September/2016.

I really need information on inexpensive accomodation for 2 people (my partner and I). I don't mind sharing a place with other students or family. I have no idea of how much accomodation might cost in this area. In case it is expensive living on-campus, I wouldn't mind living off-campus.

Could someone please give me some information/advice on that? Maybe a trustful website where I find information...
