I have been considering going to St Dominic's due to its good reputation, but I am not quite sure if I want to go there any more mainly due to the R.E lessons. Are they intrusive at all? What are the debates like? Are you just taught about Catholicism?
Also as I am an Atheist, I don't think they would be very pleased with my views.

I don't know why you're getting all freaked out by the RE lessons. I've just enrolled into St Dom's, and it's brilliant here. They really try and reinforce the fact that despite the different religions, we are all just on different paths to the same God and that we're all equal.
When applying to St Dominic's, Atheists who are not from the partnered schools get the least priority in getting accepted. It goes something like this;1) Catholics from the partnered schools
2) Christians from the partnered schools
3) People with a religion from the partnered schools
4) Catholics who aren't from the partnered schools
5) Christians who aren't from the partnered schools
6) People with a religion who aren't from the partnered schools
The whole Catholic thing is a big part of the ethos... it's not like there's no chance at getting in, but this is just insight.
