Missed a week due to sickness-will my reference be bad? watch

    Hi,

I've just recently started as a picker, been working there for a whole month and missed a week due to being very ill. I have worked at other places and the last place I worked the employer was unfair and a liar.

I'm looking for developer, programmer, web development jobs in the meanwhile and I only have one reference when you need to have two.

I'll continue working, however, my next employer will know about my absences.

You won't necessarily get a bad reference for this, and your employer may not even let the other employer know about your absence record.

Not all employers are very thorough about checking references, so if you really wow them in interview, it may not be an issue.
