When this question is asked, most of us would say “Once we have a car and house”.

That has been a norm to today’s society. We expect to get married when we are financially stable, or when we “afford” to marry each other.



However, this newlywed couple decided to do “naked marriage”! Not those kind of nude naked of course, even though some people did this kind of nude weddings, but no no!

“Naked marriage” here means a marriage that takes place before the newlywed couple has bought a car or apartment. Yeap, empty!



26-yeas old Emilie (French) and 24-years old Xie Donglin (Chinese) decided to do “naked marriage”, getting married without having a car or house.

Their love story starts from 3 years ago, when Emilie first arrived in China as an exchange student in Fudan University. Although she’s a French, however she speak fluent Mandarin, as well as 6 other languages!

She first met Xie during her internship in a hotel in Suzou. During that time, Xie was a golf coach at the club nearby.

When she met him, she boldly asked for his WeChat account, and they start getting to know each other. Soon, Emilie confessed to Xie that she likes him, as she sees that Xie wouldn’t make the first move. Xie said yes, and they started dating.

Their marriage went viral online, with the concept of “naked marriage”! Definitely, many guys are jealous of Xie. They stated how lucky Xie is, to get a wife that doesn’t ask for any car or house, instead she only asked for a cat! Some also said that maybe they should find a foreign wife instead!
