Probably a question often asked. I have major issues maintaining my focus and concentrating on my work. When I write, I can write about 500-1000 words then decide to take a break. The same with reading. I can read for about half an hour to an hour then feel that I deserve a break. Then I go play games or watch some TV-shows for a while as a reward. I can hold focus fine for a while, then I start getting bored and feel I deserve a break. I get so little done, yet I have so many things to do. First two years of Uni went like a breeze, but the bacheloryear, this year, I've failed 2 exams (first exams I've ever failed), and only gotten Cs and below. It's like I'm burnt out already. No energy, no motivation and no ability to maintain focus and study. I've started playing a LOT of games aswell. Like 3000 hours of gameplay the last year and a half. Almost 16 hours per day in the wintermonths, and 4 hours now in the springtime. But in average I've played 6 hours per day the last year and a half. Dunno what's happening to me.

Have you considered trying the pomodoro technique- start with 25 mins of work and 5 minute breaks and then increase it where possible. Also get rid of the platform that your games are on if possible. Personally 500 words in one go is more than i could ever do (but i dont know if that's because i have spld's rather than having bad concentration as well)
