Can't say that's happened to me to be honest.
Enjoy it whilst it lasts :]

Maybe you're confused about what you want, and all the things that you have aren't really the things needed to make you happy. lol. Try hypnosis to find out the needs from within.

Has anyone else ever felt that their life was so close to perfect that they couldnt work out why they wern't happy? I have almost everything i have ever wanted why the hell can't i enjoy it??

Because happiness is not quite that simple. Sometimes NOT having what you want is what is required to make you happy as it drives you in life. If you have everything then what is the point of continuing? You just end up apathetic.

Hmm. I think my life looks perfect, but I can find faults I guess.

as i think the other posters were saying, there's also a sense of "oh, this is it", & you need something to aspire to.

Had that.

just enjoy it.

be prepared for the recession.

Maybe the materialistic nature of modern society has driven you to a perceived ideal, but in actual fact, is merely what you have been convinced 'happiness' is by influences around you.
Many people have no idea who they are until relatively late in life, I mean just look at the numbers of people going to university because they have no other plans, its astonishing. And I'm not belittling self-improvement whilst you decide a direction in life, but some studies are altogether frivolous to say the least.

I'm in a career now I would never of imagined myself in two years ago, and I'm more content than I've ever been, even though most of my experience prior to this was very driven academic grade chasing.

In short, never be afraid to mix it up and try something new, you might learn a bit more about yourself

Oh definitely. Sometimes you might have all the components of a happy life - friends, family, money, whatever, but you just don't feel happy. Other times, you know you should feel down but you just feel too happy to be alive to feel anything but smiley.

If you stop searching for something to make you happier, it'll come

because we live in such a materialistic world, no matter how much you have, you always want more.

maybe you need some adventure in your life. Take a year out, go travelling.

It's called the burden of perfection.
Why do you think rich people get depression?
Same stuff.

Get rid of the things you have always wanted, then you will be able to see which items make you happy and which you only think make you happy!

this is bad advice.

only get rid of things which you can get back easily. (i.e. don't drop out of uni or sell your house )
