What mark out of 8 would this response get?

Chose one religion other than Christianity and explain how their beliefs about life after death affect the way they live their lives.

Firstly, in Islam followers try throughout their lives to be good Muslims so that they reach heaven. This means, for example they do not eat pork.

Secondly, Muslims believe that life is a test so they obey to all Muslim laws. This means, for example a man must go through the Iddah in order to divorce his wife.

Thirdly, Muslims will try to lead good lives. This is because they believe that they will be judged after death.

Lastly, Muslims will chose to be buried rather than cremated. This is because they believe in the resurrection of the body.

Please mark out of 8 thank you.

You give very good reasons but you've essentially just listed them. It might help you to explain them more. This is an 8 mark question so you need to do some explaining. What you've done here would be very good for the b questions though (the four markers- you only need to give two reasons for these, but the method you've used for writing the answer would be suitable for the b questions).
For example, "Thirdly, Muslims will try to lead good lives. This is because they believe that they will be judged after death." Then go on to say how they will lead good lives: "They will do this by being a good Muslim and following the teachings of the Quran and Shari'ah Law. Muslims believe life is a test from Allah and they want to please him, so they will try to act the way he wishes."
