I got an A in my English language coursework/controlled assessments and I read online that this grade contributes towards my end of year grade by 75% and I was just wondering if anyone knew what grade I would have to achieve in my actual exam to maintain that A? My friend thought that if I get a B/C then maybe I'd still be alright because the controlled assessments contributed so much but I thought that if I get a C then my grade could possibly be brought down? Thank you X

If this is AQA English Language, then the coursework is only weighted by 40%. Ultimately, the exam grade tends to determine the overall grade, unless your coursework is on the polar opposites (E or A*)

Thank you, so I would have to get an A in the actual exam to actually come out with an A grade?

The exact UMS scores are important, but a high B/low A would probably be sufficient in getting you an A.
