    I keep seeing people saying they'll be 17 during freshers and quite a few saying they're not 18 until well later in the year.
    As someone who got their diploma at 18 in a class of everyone who would of been 18 or older..
    How does this work?? How can you get your qualifications before 18???

    I think a lot of Scottish people start university when they are 17, because they finish secondary school a year earlier. But only some of them. I don't really understand.

    Different school systems have different school leaving ages. You also get the odd person who got moved up a year because they were bright.
