I am thinking of taking up a mixed sport to make female friends since I went to a all boys school and most of my interests are male dominated. For some reason I think it's better to talk to females when you want to have deep conversations about emotional stuff etc I don't know if this is true for example some men have said if I want to have a discussion about an emotional situation I will always call a female friend. Is this course of action advisable to make female friends?

I think it depends on the girl and on your approach and also your intentions.

as a girl, I have noticed that some boys open up to me more, because their friends are "laddish" and won't really have a serious conversation with them.
But I think that it's not the only good thing girls are for .

I do understand how it may be difficult though, with you going to an all boys school. But be yourself, and go with the flow. The right friends will come.

Hope this helps, message if you need anything!
