I've just submitted my subject choices for IBDP next year, does anyone have any tips for me to achieve the best grades? If you are experienced in any of these classes, then any tip would help me a lot. I really want to be successful. I'm aiming for a minimum of 38 points (total). These are my classes.

HL: Language & Literature, Bussiness & Management, Visual Arts
SL: Math, French AB Initio, Physics

    Goal grades:Lang & Lit (7), Business (7), Arts (7)Math (6), French (6), Physics (7)

Note: French is a new language for me, I used to learn mandarin but it is too difficult for me. Any tip for learning a new language? I would like to achieve a minimum of 6

    Hi neeharika22
I've done HL BAM and SL Maths.

HL BAM is not a difficult course, it was actually one of my favorite IB subjects and I found it incredibly easy to do; however the main reason people do not get 7's is due to the fact that the papers are extremely long and it is quite difficult to finish on time; so perfect your time management since the last thing you want is to not get a 7 due to running out of time.

SL Maths (and fro expereince my HL Physics course) may seem challenging at first but with practice I was able to understand the theory and method (not only of the maths but the exam technique) and then it gets easier. This actually applies to all subjects, the key to the IB is by doing past paper practice and familiarizing yourself with the exam technique. The IB like to give you abstract questions so you need to know how to decipher what is being asked, with practice all of the exam technique will be become instinctual. You won't get too much homework but still do work at home and study/consolidate what you learn in class so that you stay on top of the theory and can focus revision on past papers rather than theory, also in Y13 give a lot of time and effort on your IA's as they do weigh on your final subject grades.

ToK and EE should be an easy 2/3 points.
