So, after all the Vac Scheme applications, I've now moved onto the TC applications. The result I got in the end was 1 Vac Scheme with a national commercial firm, and a work placement with a local commercial firm. They will take place in July and September. The latter firm has told me which departments I'll be shadowing, whereas the other hasn't given me any additional information.

Ideally I'd like to include them in my application forms because it shows that I have a genuine interest in those sorts of firms, but obviously I won't have actually done the experience yet. Is it common to include this information? If so, do I just need to write down a sentence explaining that I'm waiting on what my tasks/departments will be or do I need to wait until I have that information?

Yes you can include them. No detail or explanation is really needed, it should be obvious that it is "yet to happen" if you have had to include dates of the placements on an online form or CV. Name the department(s) if you know where you will be sat but that is all that is needed.

As he said its obvious by the date. I dont think you have to put much detail in because it can look as though you are trying too hard. If you have managed to wangle a seat in a specialist area relevant to the firm, then I might list that. I just wouldnt overplay it.
