    For the following Question some help please ?

    For the reaction S + O2 = SO2
    1)what mass of SO2 is formed by reacting 64.2g of S with O2 ?

    This is my workings ...

    mass of S = 64.2/32(atomic mass)
    = 2 moles

    because the reaction is 1 mole of S = 1 mole of SO2 we have 2moles of SO2
    therefore ....

    mass of SO2 = 2 moles x RMM (32+16+16)
    = 2 x 64 = 128g

    but the correct answer is 96.2g, can anyone please point me in the correct direction as to how 96.2g is the answer and not 128 ??

    M= moles x Mr
    1 x 32 +64.2 = 96.2
