So, I have an appointment to get a nexplanon implant later this month, and I'm looking for some personal experiences, maybe from someone like me. I'm 23, never been on any kind of birth control before (well, condoms, if you even want to count that), and my periods have been moderate and regular like clockwork for the last 9ish years.

My main concern is my wedding is about a month after I get it in and I'd be rather disappointed if I had bleeding the day of. I'm planning on talking to my doctor also, but I'd like to hear some real-life experiences.

Does how regular your periods were previously seem to have any effect on how the implant effects periods?
Can I take something or use some other kind of BC just for like a week or something to prevent a mess on my wedding day?

    Let me know your experience
