differentiate cotx^2

someone help me please!
i'm having a blank moment . . .& the mark scheme is confusing me . . .

*i meant differentiate not integrate. been doing too much mathssss :smile:

it just says differentiate cotx^2 . . . no brackets or anything

is that cot(x2)cot(x^2) ?

cot^2x=cosec^2x-1

In the forumula book it tells you d/dx(cotx)=-cosec^2x. Ill' let you take it from there.

Chain rule.
If it's too much to chew, use
u=x² of course ~

is this cot(x^2) or (cotx)^2?
assuming it's cot2x cot^2x

cot^2x=cosec^2x-1

what do you need that for? I did it using chain & didn't have to touch that bit
