Sure, I'm at Cambridge though (Arch and Anth) so only general advice available! If you like the college, go for it. However, you should check if it is really over-subscribed for your subject (which is what BTW?)

Ok, make sure your personal statement has lots of things that you want the interviewers to ask you about - this is a good way to 'direct' the interview in the way that you want before you are even there. So don't mention anything you are not comfortable talking about. Also have an idea about what career areas you are heading for with that degree because they will want to know that a world-class businessman has direction!

I didn't put that in my personal statement or get asked anything like that in the interview.

I'm at Cambridge and know the general kind of advice given to friends applying to Oxbridge. However, you should contact people who've applied for your course at Oxford as admissions policies are surprisingly varied between the two unis. Go to www.oxbridge-info.co.uk to find profiles of people who applied to Oxford to read your subject. This will give you a good idea about the different colleges approach to interviews too.

I think this is the kind of thing you're looking for:

    http://www.ousu.org/main/ProspectiveStudents

The links seem a little dodgy though; they're not as organised as Cambridge

You're right, Peterhouse is little and old but by all accounts is a close knit and friendly community. Go for it if you don't mind being at the heart of ancient Cambridge and avoid if you want to belong to a bigger community (Peter admits about 80 undergrads a year!) I went for a bigger college but would stress that, at the end of the day, you will learn and socialise with people from all over the uni and I can't recommend Cambridge highly enough. Go to the Cam website and order an alternative prospectus which gives a down to earth student view on the colleges. Good luck!
