Think I got k<-3/2 and k>6

Im pretty sure I got that too, atleast thats one part I got right

it was bear hard bruv

i got somert over 12

Hmm, the integral came out to be 81/4, and the triangle is 9, or 36/4. Subtract these to get 45/4 - or 11.25. See diagram attached.

Am I the only one who did a trapezium for the shaded are question to get a final answer of 63 - 5 = 58?

I did the trapezium rule but didnt get that, prety sure I was wrong anyway
"does anyone remember the actual integration question"

Integrated it was something like: [a number - (1/3)X^3 + (3x^4)/4] Between 1 and -2 so differentiate that and you might get something close to the original

Then the area of the triangle was (0.75*24)/2 which I spent far too long doing in different ways to reassure myself it did actually equal 9

Yes, trapezium rule was unnecessary here - you had the internal.
If I put decimals 3.5 instead of 7/2 and 10.25 instead of whatever it was will I still get the mark???? In the completing the square question. I didn't realise decimals are not rational ughh

Not just me then! They'd given us so many fractions, "9" felt to soft :P
For the questions most are asking:
Surds
a) 45
b) 75 - 32 root 5
Integration
b) i) 20.25 or 81/4
ii) You had to find area of triangle (=9). Shaded region = 11.25
Circles
b) C was midpoint AB. You could use this to finid B = (7,-12)
d) CT = 4. Using pythag.Anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Yeah I checked my multiplication so many times throughout the paper. Still had time to read the brand new formula books as well XD

what was the equation of the quadratic we had to draw? It was the question I worried about the most because my maximum didn't look obviously past where x=0. I'm hoping as it was only 2 marks they don't care, and besides the only way I could see of working out the max point was by completing the square which got me about 10.5 when X=1, so max point after the y-intercept?

What did people get for translation vector?

The answer for the integration question was 45/4 or 11.25 for anyone asking.

I put "Translated by vector [1/2, 41/4]"

You sure it was positive 41/4? I put -41/4.

CT was 9 not 4 (AT was 4) - see image attached (√65^2 + 4^2 = 81. √81 = 9)

var ctx = document.getElementById("canvas").getContext("2d"); // #text4142-2-6 ctx.lineJoin = 'miter'; ctx.lineCap = 'butt'; ctx.lineWidth = 1.000000; ctx.fillStyle = 'rgb(0, 0, 0)'; ctx.font = "normal normal 40px sans-serif"; ctx.fillText("9", -2.519531, 29.687500);

No, sorry. It was 81/4 - 9 (triangle) which = 45/4 or 11.25
Is there an unofficial markscheme anywhere?
