Your Local Education Authority? I think the title pretty much encompasses their role.

Local Education Authority - the part of your local council that handles schools and also partly funds your university education and does the means testing for the student loan.
Ahh - Is it the same one that gives me £30 a week for A-Levels?

My LEA have just sent me a letter together with a form that i've had before to confirm the amount of loan I want, telling me that I haven't sent the original back yet, or that the details were incorrect if I had sent it back. Well I'm positive I sent a copy back, so that means the details weren't correct, btu if they don't tell me how am I supposed to know what was wrong?

Well now its making me paranoid that I didn't send it back, and its not helped by the fact that I can't actually find the original forms...I;m too organised and now I can't find where I've filed everything!
