Im finding unit 3 physics VERY hard and im thinking maybe it would be wise to stop doing unit 3 and just do unit 2. I have been looking at grade boundaries and they are much higher than unit 2. I am no A* student i get B's in unit 2. And in all retrospect i don't need triple science i only need double for the course I want to go on. It would make my life a hell of a lot easier. I'm just thinking that the fact i am doing not just 2 science at the same time but 3 because i do GCSE geology as well is just a bit too much. But the flip side to that is that if i give up on triple my family would be disappointed and i think i am being lazy and if i do science at uni (geology because i love it and i am good at it and get A's within it ) will they pick up on that and deny me a place (im not planning on going to any Russel group uni's). Any thoughts?

I dropped after getting two Us and a D in my 3s and personally I'm so glad I did! Overall it depends on the grades your currently getting (do some past papers if you've not done any already), and if you feel you'll be able to work on it or not. It shouldn't massively affect your future either way, as you can still do science A Levels on dual, though I have heard doing triple is beneficial for this (I'm not doing any science after GCSE), and I doubt any universities would mind. Finally it depends on whether sticking with triple will lower your grades from your potential or not.

Ha! I'd love to drop additional and stay with only further!

Such little content needed to know and imo chemistry and biology isn\t very scientific it's just memory and common sense. Can't deny that P3 is difficult but the spec is short so it's much easier to revise...

Where as additional they all have 7-8 units which is a struggle to revise..

I'm in the same position although I've always been a straight A/A* student and don't want P3 to let me down! However, it is only 25% so its really not a lot. I believe it's too late to drop out. good luck
