Do 1st choice Unis accept lower grades than in the conditional offer? Like if the offer was for A*AB, would they accept AAB or ABB?

They might, but it depends on the university, the course, and how many people got the grades on the offer.

What was your offer? A*AB doesn't sound like a typical offer to ask for an A* and a B. Usually it would be something like A*AA or AAB, but not mixing an A* and a B.

But, yes, a 1 (or sometimes 2) grade miss is often ok but depends on many factors as per the post above.

There is a huge amount of factors there such as how much did you miss your grades by like if it was A*AB and it was between someone who got just got AAB(like one mark off a C or B) and someone who was 1 mark off an A* then the person with the higher A would get in.

it also depends on how many people missed their grades and how many spots they have put or want to put in clearing and adjustment.

that said its o pep;e miss their offer and still get in so your probably ok.
