Hi, I have an offer from the University of Manchester for 3 As. I got three As at AS but I think I'm probably only going to get AAB overall because A2 maths is going horribly. AAB would still get me into my insurance but I really want to go to Manchester.

I know that Unis sometimes let people in if they fall short of their offer, and it is hard to predict whether they will do this, but has anyone gotten into UoM with AAB?

If so, did you get an A in Maths?

    Thanks

It's impossible to predict at the moment. It depends how everyone else does - if everyone else meets their offer then there won't be any spaces left over. If other people miss their offer then they might have enough space to take some of the other applicants.

It doesn't matter what happened last year. Concentrating on that will just distract you from the fact that it isn't guaranteed.

Stay focused on getting your A, however it may help to know that we were told by Manchester that they would accept equivalent points. So an A* in Maths would balance a B in Further Maths. Good luck!
