I don't have a job anymore, I feel pretty depressed a lot of the time and I don't know what to do with my life.

A relative recommended that I do something productive for at least 2 hours everyday. I just don't know what though. Occasionally, I try to read but I feel like it's a way to pass the time more than anything.

So, any suggestions are welcome or if you have some general advice to offer me, I'm open to it.

    Thanks.

You could volunteer for work in a profession that interests you, and then you're doing something productive and keeping yourself occupied in the mean time.

Resources for learning either programming languages or spoken languages are available on plenty of sites on the internet for free, and you don't even need to go anywhere or buy anything while still being "productive".
