I'm basically averaging around a 56.I've calculated that I'm basically getting a 2:2 unless I either fail or get a 74+.
I really don't care since I already know what my plans are and they require only a 2:2. I've already mentally checked out of my degree.
i'm still writing at a 2:2 level, but what is the minimum word count do you think on a 10000 worder. I'm doing a literature based topic.
(My last essay was 3300 words for 4000- and I got a 62 lol. Couldn't believe it).

depends on quality. tho I think 8000 would be fine since it's literature based.
if you want to stretch it for a bit, add a section of discourse analysis on whatever related.

you usually get 10% leeway, which on 10,000 words is 1000 words, so 9000 would be your minimum

Every course will potentially have its own word count rules. I know that in my current department there are two sets of word count thresholds and lower limits, depending on what degree you're on. This is the type of question which will be covered in your dissertation handbook/guidelines. Or you should ask your diss supervisor.
