We still have some monumentally **** British outfits going on, oh my God, I do hate the Americans smugly writing off our food, and we do have good food but there are some British outfits, especially when they try and do a foreign dish, that are just terrible.

Today I ordered a 'Pesto Parmesan Chicken' bagel, I chucked most of £3 away-

1)TONS of butter. Standard tool 1.(May have been marg but so much creamy **** and salt I couldn't tell-yuck)
2)Mayo, standard tool 2 for all things, SWIMMING in mayo. Combined with the butter doubly annoying. I don't like mayo and would only use butter with nothing else rich.
3)Third rate parmesan flavour, in the mayo, like too strongly done anyway, god was it even fresh stuff or just flavouring I don't know?!
4)Nothing remotely resembling pesto, no nuttiness, olive oil, green or redness, herbiness, nothing. Just cheap parmesan flavour, coming through mayo.
5)Pre preserved chicken, guess I could expect that, not unhealhty but just nondescript. On second thoughts, would it be impossible to quickly grill some, or do have done it on that day?

    Has anyone had similar experiences?

What sort of place were you buying from?
If you don't like mayo, request for no mayo.

A van. If it was most Europeans, they could have done me a cheap yet pleasing pesto parmesan chicken, like the Turkish place I go. Only the British could turn it into that.
