    A change into Law

    July 2004

If you’ve ever fancied a change of career and see yourself as a ‘legal eagle’ then a new course at Swansea could be right for you.

The Law Department has developed a Post Graduate Diploma in Law that will allow those who have graduated in another subject to take their first steps to becoming a qualified lawyer.

The full-time 36-week course is recognised by both the Law Society and the General Council of the Bar. It provides the academic stage of qualification for either branch of the legal profession.

Swansea University, which has strong local and national links with the legal profession, is the only constituent institution of the University of Wales to offer the course.

Successful participants will be able to continue their studies at the university as the department also offers a one-year vocational Legal Practice Course for those who want become a solicitor.

Non-law graduates are increasingly in demand by the legal profession and the course is likely to attract a great deal of interest.

For more information contact Trish Rees, Administrator, Department of Law, Swansea University, Singleton Park, Swansea, SA4 1PP.

Or you can ring her on 01792 513511 or e-mail her at [email protected].

But be quick as places are limited.
Do I go to The Streets tomorrow night?
