    Hello,

some background: I am 20 years old now and unfortunately been turned down from the RAF this year. Having spent the best part of three years out of education I would really like to get back into it.
The last months have been a huge struggle, finding a course that 1) interests me and 2) may benefit me in the future all in a condensed timescale has been a nightmare. However, I have finally found a course that appeals to me!
This is 'War and Security Studies' at Hull uni.

In my A levels I had a very different set of goals and as such only achieved an A and a D (as the grades were not required for the RAF - Yes, I realise my massive mistake and complacency now). Well below the Hull threshold. I sent them an email anyway to try and get onto the course and fortunately they asked me to send an essay through. I did the essay and they have now invited me for an interview.

Does anybody have any information on what I should expect? I have emailed the admissions department about this but have had no response. Either way, in my eyes the more prepared I am the better.
I suppose it'll be questions on my essay, the course and other character judging questions but I would like to know for sure!

Sorry for the essay but as this is the only course I've actually seen and liked I would like to give myself every chance I can to prove myself!

    I appreciate your time,
    Fergus.

Just stay calm, read as much about what the course you are going to take contains and this will show you have a passion for the subject and just show that you are someone they want on their course and at their uni
