    Honestly I do think confidence and public speaking courses should be a part of the school curriculum, because that's the advantage pompous etonians have over state school scum like me. Having a degree is pointless if you can't communicate your education properly. When it comes to employment, a loud idiot who proudly boasts about their E in maths is more likely to do well than a quiet genius who doubts him/herself

    It's because people want to give jobs to people they trust. If you lack social skills, seem odd or doubt yourself you'll get passed over for someone who doesn't.
