I shall be visiting Cambridge soon (Fri-Mon). Are there any places people would recommend that I visit and recommendations for places to eat would be great too.

I could suggest a few of the 'usual suspects'- punting on the Cam, visiting colleges and browsing in the bookshops.
I took a foreign friend there last year. We visited St John's college and Trinity. We joined a free guided tour, which included a pit-stop at Pembroke College. Heffers is a wonderful bookshop. Punting is a must, really, especially at this time of year. Try Scudamores; they have a website.
Great place. Enjoy.

I can't really advise too much on the sightseeing side of Cambridge, as the only time I've visited was on a hen weekend a few weeks ago! However, we did go punting which I would also definitely recommend. As the above poster says, I'd recommend Scudamores too: they were very good!
Cambridge is a lovely city and it seemed like there was plenty to do so I'm sure you'll have a great time

When I went there and had a few spare hours I walked around cambridge. I walk pretty fast so I managed to cover a lot (the city is also not that big). Was really fun and interesting, but hot as it was summer.
There's also a small market you can visit in the centre of town.
