    Hi,
I am currently in year 11 and I am taking maths next year. However, I have no clue what mechanics or statistics involves. I currently do maths, further maths and statistics for GCSE and although I find further maths a little more challenging, I do very much prefer it to Statistics. Is maths with statistics similar to GCSE statistics? (I do AQA Statistics). Please could someone explain what both involve because I'm just constantly being told to do statistics simply because I want to do medicine.

    Thanks!

Well one could take a maths a-level and have 2 statistics modules, or one could do a statistics a-level (AQA) i don't know anything about other exam boards.

This should tell you what statistics modules involve.
