Hi, I have my Edexcel IGCSE Biology exam on Tuesday. I just don't get the tropism topic (geotropism, phototropism), about auxins and how they work. Can someone explain to me how an unequal distribution of auxin causes the lower side to grow faster, thus bending the shoot upwards? How does it bend upwards if the lower side's growing faster?
