So i'm asking on behalf of my friend:
She currently has submitted her application, but she has no passport and no original birth certificate (however she does have a copy). How long does she have before her application get denied? She is planning to get a passport. And also will SF still guarantee the loans will come in by September if her passport comes after the deadline?
Thanks,
Kev

She can get a replacement birth certificate. It's something like £10. Her application shouldn't get denied on that basis. It may, however, get delayed.

For the record, you don't get your loan before your course starts. You only get it after you've physically turned up and enrolled at the start of your course, usually in Freshers' or Induction week, usually towards the end of September. Then it will be a few days for the uni to confirm attendance to SF, for SF to release your funds and for the funds to pass through the banking process. -

The last date for that guarantee is 27th May, so it doesn't sound likely.

She is only applying for the tuition loan, will her uni expect her to pay for the first semester if her loan is expected to be late?
